The Stockton Arts Commission is now accepting grant applications for arts projects that fulfill the Commissions goal of encouraging and strengthening art awareness and presence in Stockton.
Stockton Arts Commission may award up to $50,000 in grants. Individual grant awards are typically between $1,000 and $10,000 but applicants may request any amount. The art project grants are for all artistic disciplines including but not limited to: music, dance, theatre, visual, and literary arts including mainstream, contemporary, and ethnic art forms.
To learn more about the Arts Grants Program, the grant guidelines, and to access the application, artists and art organizations are encouraged to visit the Stockton Arts Commission website at www.stocktongov.com/arts or by visiting the Community Services office in the Cesar Chavez Central Library located at 605 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, California 95202.
Completed applications must be received in person or by mail at the above Community Services address no later than March 6, 2013 at 4:00p.m. Faxes are not accepted.
All prospective applicants are required to attend a grant workshop to obtain important information that will aid them in developing a stronger application. Two sessions have been scheduled and applicants must attend one of the two. Prospective applicants must register for the workshop and be prepared to stay for the duration of the workshop and have a copy of the “2013-2014 Grants Guidelines and Application” packet with them.
