The Stockton Thunder, a two-time recipient of the ECHL “Award of Excellence,” announced Thunder Goes Pink VIII presented by St. Joseph’s Medical Center has been scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1-2 at Stockton Arena for two games at 7:30 p.m. against the Utah Grizzlies.
The signature event on the Thunder promotional calendar benefits breast cancer awareness and fundraising through ticket sales and auction items for the two games in Stockton, which have historically drawn large crowds.
“Thunder Goes Pink has such a wonderful legacy associated with it,” said Melissa Piffero, Thunder manager of marketing and business development. “Everyone looks forward to Pink Weekend and the ability to support such a wonderful cause within our community. The fans and players make it a must see event.”
“St. Joseph’s Medical Center is so proud to continue partnering with the Stockton Thunder on “Thunder Goes Pink VIII,” said Natalie Pettis, Marketing Director, St. Joseph’s Medical Center. “It’s such a great event to help increase breast cancer awareness and with the support of the fans, thousands of dollars are raised to help provide services to women fighting breast cancer in our community.”
Continuing the event’s tradition, the ice of Stockton Arena will be turned pink and the Thunder will skate in pink themed jerseys for the weekend, which will be available via raffle and silent auction. Select Thunder game worn pink jerseys, straight off the backs of the players, will be available for bidding during a live auction following Saturday’s game.
For all Thunder Goes Pink games, fans can assist with fundraising through ticket sales, website, auction and merchandise purchases for the event. Proceeds from Thunder Goes Pink VIII, which also include two dollars from each group ticket sold for the games, will benefit St. Joseph’s Foundation – Breast Health Services.
Group tickets, accommodating ten fans or more, can be purchased by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
