Reservations are currently being accepted for “The Curtain Goes Up,” the Stockton Opera Guild’s first event of the 2013/2014 season, to be held at the Stockton Golf and Country Club on Thursday, November 14 at 6 p.m.
Please join us as we pay tribute to Carol and Henry Zeiter, longtime patrons and supporters of local opera and symphony, who will be honored at the event.
Mrs. Zeiter has served as president of the Stockton Symphony Guild and Dr. Zeiter served as president of the Stockton Symphony Association. The couple received a San Joaquin County Arts Council award for their involvement in promoting the arts in San Joaquin County and continue to sponsor the annual Zeiter Piano Competition at the University of the Pacific Conservatory. Dr. Zeiter has joyously “starred” in Cameo roles in several of the Stockton Opera performances.
The Curtain Goes Up will feature a dinner buffet, fine wines and musical entertainment with singer Sarah Phelen, 2013 recipient of the Kathe Underwood Scholarship. Tickets are $60. Donations are also graciously accepted For reservations (due by Nov. 5) call Courtney Harrel (209) 956-9440.
