You can catch a glimpse of Maestro Jaffe occasionally in the documentaries featuring the late Bernstein—Jaffe gets calls when they air the programs on television. Bernstein’s influence, says Jaffe, was most profound when it comes to conducting an orchestra. “Every second is intense, and I learned from him to live the music on the podium as I conduct it.”
