An initiative led by three Stockton natives instills the importance of community leadership into local high school students. Through two annual weekend events and a fellowship program offering academic scholarships, the SJSA offers teens residing in the San Joaquin County the opportunity to showcase their talents and acquire funds for higher education.

It is no secret Mr. Dellinger’s amazing work speaks volumes and is in demand on local, national and international arenas. Here in Stockton, California, USA, Mr. Dellinger’s presence in our community has been cherished for several years.

With a usual annual attendance around the 100,000 mark, the 28th annual Stockton Asparagus Festival attendance experienced a drop this year.

The Thunder finished 3-2-0 against Idaho this season with neither team winning by more than two goals in any game … the season series kicked off on Nov. 14 with the long game in Boise … third period goals by Kael Mouillierat and Neil Graham pushed the Steelheads to a 4-2 win at Century Link Arena … Stockton got revenge four days later at home …

With close to forty events scheduled in May between the Stockton Arena, Bob Hope Theatre, and Stockton Ballpark, the opening weekend of May saw a diverse lineup of events.

San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation and the Delta Fly Fishers will present the 29th Annual Catfish Derby on Saturday, June 1, 2013 beginning at 6:15 a.m. at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton.
