The Kids Don’t Float Program, which provides life preservers for borrowed use to visitors enjoying the
Mokelumne River, will begin its summer season in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend this
Saturday, May 23, 2015. This is the sixth year for Kids Don’t Float, which was conceived as a result of a
tragic drowning on the river in April 2009.

Now through June 14, 2015 the Haggin Museum presents photography pieces in Mexico from the Collection of SFMOMA - When the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art closed its doors in June of 2013 to undergo a three year expansion project, “SFMOMA On the Go” was launched. The unprecedented program is aimed at presenting exhibits throughout California while the Museum’s expansion is under way. Photography in Mexico is part of a statewide tour drawn from SFMOMA’s internationally acclaimed photography collection. Since 2013, Photography in Mexico has traveled to the Bakersfield Museum of Art and the Sonoma County Museum. The Haggin Museum is the tour’s final venue.
On Tuesday, June 2nd, at 10:30 a.m. , the Cesar Chavez Library presents Adult Book Club. The Adult Book Club meets to discuss great books on the first Tuesday of every month.

The State of California is in the fourth year of a record-setting drought. Stockton residents have done a good job of conserving water supplies, saving on average 14 percent per month based on 2013 usage.
