Women’s Center-YFS’ Green Light Project asks community to show solidarity with youth homelessness

With less than a month to go, donations are rolling in for Stockton’s second Coat, Blanket and Sock Drive. However, items are still needed to distribute to those in need.November is Homeless and Runaway Youth Awareness Month and Women’s Center-Youth & Family Services is taking part in the national Green Light Project to help raise awareness in San Joaquin County. The Green Light Project was created by the National Runaway Safeline to raise awareness of the issues homeless and runaway youth face and to educate the public about solutions and roles they can play in preventing youth from running away.
