“DAMN YANKEES” to be performed at Community Theatre of Linden

Event date: 7/25/2019 - 8/4/2019 Export event

DAMN YANKEES” is going to be performed at Community Theatre of Linden at the Linden Performing Arts Building on July 25, 26,27,28 and August 2,3,and 4!!! Come see a fantastic cast of performers from all over the valley! Reprising their roles as Lola and Mr. Applegate (the Devil)are Melissa Esau and Mike Moon from the 2007 production at Stockton Civic Theatre. Joining them are Mary Peterson and Jason Kell as Meg and Joe Boyd, Mike Kiley as Van Buren- the coach, Mary Odum as Gloria Thorpe, the reporter, and Bill Jannay, as the team’s owner, Mr. Welch. Adding to this wonderful group are Carmen Musch and Frankie Parker, two veteran performers who know how to turn a phase,  playing the Miller Sisters! The story of a Washington Senators fan selling his soul to guarantee the Senators win the Pennant and beat those “Damn Yankees” reminds us of the age-old story of Faust-however, this one has a twist…plus song and dance! Faust didn’t have that!!! The songs like “Whatever Lola Wants,” and “Heart” are always to be remembered, and Gary Fritzen, the Musical Director, leads this large cast to musical heights that will keep you humming! David Qualls has taken the Technical Director reins and designed sets that will flow with the music. Judy Williamson and Kimberly Romberger direct this production with Esther Henderson assisting Judy with the choreography and Elsa Fulton “batting a homer” with costumes.

Another important element of this show is the TRUE YANKEES STAR, AARON JUDGE,  homegrown Linden Slugger, has given us the “signal” for a HOMERUN” hit. Find out his message to us when you come to the show! CTL will be donating a portion of the proceeds to his “ALL RISE FOUNDATION!” Come out to see us. Tickets can be purchased online at lindentheatre.com or by calling 209-401-8549. Curtain times are Thursdays through Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm and Sundays Matinees at 2:00 pm. Thursday’s preview is just $10, and the first Saturday is always “two- for- one!” General admission prices are $20.00 and $15.00 for Seniors and Students. Get a group of 10 or more and you have Ten Dollar tickets! What a deal…maybe you’ll come back again and again at those prices…and for this entertaining show! So come out for fun, entertainment, promoting a great Foundation and- of course- for THE TEAM!
