Library Presents English Language Learners Series For Adults
The Cesar Chavez Central Library, in cooperation with the Amador, Calaveras, Stanislaus and Tuolumne County Libraries, will present a 20-week series of programs for English language learners. The “Collaborative Connections” project is made possible by funding from the California State Library’s Pitch-An-Idea Regional Grant to the 49-99 Library Consortium.
Collaborative Connections will introduce adult English Language learners to library and community resources and provide an opportunity to practice their English language speaking skills in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
This free program will be live-streamed from the Cesar Chavez Central Library, located at 605 N. El Dorado Street in Stockton, CA. Adults in Amador, Calaveras, Stanislaus and Tuolumne may participate in the live-streamed sessions at one of the following locations:
Amador County Library – 530 Sutter Street, Jackson, CA
Calaveras County Library – 1299 Gold Hunter Road, San Andreas, CA
Stanislaus County Library – 1500 I Street, Modesto, CA
Tuolumne County Library – 480 Greenley Road, Sonora, CA
The programs will be held from 4:30-5:30 pm every Wednesday from January 23, 2019 through June 5, 2019. Sessions will be recorded and archived for later viewing.
