Program Helps Raise Awareness of Health Insurance

On the second Thursday of each month, May through December 2014, at from 5:30-7:30 p.m., the Margaret K. Troke Library presents Covered California.  Representatives from NAACP Covered California will be on hand to raise awareness of the value of having health insurance and of the affordable health insurance offered by Covered California.

Those interested can:


                •  Get information about Covered California options and health insurance available

                •  Come "shop and compare"

                •  Get enrolled into health insurance

 To apply online, bring the following information with you:


                •  W-2, paystub, or last year's tax return

                •  Proof of legal residency status

                •  Names, birthdates, and Social Security numbers of each family member enrolling

NAACP Covered-California-certified educators will be available for consultation and enrollment from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the following Thursdays: May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11, 2014.
