Traffic Advisory - French Camp Road switched over

To accommodate work required for reconstruction of the Interstate 5/French Camp Road Interchange, beginning October 1, 2013, traffic on French Camp Road will be switched over to a newly constructed configuration. A portion of Val Dervin Parkway between French Camp Road and Frank West Circle will be closed permanently.  Access to Frank West Circle will be rerouted to the new intersection of Frank West Circle and French Camp Road.

Access to all businesses on Frank West Circle will be maintained throughout reconstruction of the interchange.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will pave and perform bridge construction activities on State Route 99 (SR-99) at French Camp Road. Work will occur as follows:

  • Southbound traffic lanes have been shifted into the median on SR-99 from just north of French Camp Road to just south of French Camp Road until April 2014;
  • Eastbound and westbound French Camp Road will be closed underneath SR-99 beginning Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, September 27, 2013, at 5:00 a.m.;
  • The southbound off-ramp from SR-99 to French Camp Road will close beginning Sunday, September 22, 2013, through Friday, September 27, 2013, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction-related issues.

For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Slow for the Cone Zone.
