More Info:

The preshow is for ages 7-12. The auditions for this age group will be Friday, April 26th at 5 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi. Parents should attend at least the beginning of the audition in order to fill out paperwork and learn about what summer participation entails. The auditions will consist of group games and choreographed dance. No previous experience is required, and you do not need an appointment to audition. The main purpose will be to see if your child can follow direction and work well with others. This audition should be over by 8 PM on Friday, and your child may be asked to attend a callback audition on Saturday, May 4th. The summer participation fee is $250.

The main show is for performers ages 13-adult. We will be auditioning students aged 13-17 on Saturday, April 27th at 10 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi. Parents of younger students and/or those new to CFTC are encouraged to stay for the beginning of auditions to learn about what summer participation entails. The auditions will consist of group games, a choreographed group dance, and script readings. No previous experience is required, and you do not need an appointment to audition. This audition should be over by 2 PM on Saturday, and invited callbacks will be on Saturday, May 4th. The summer participation fee is $250.

Adult (18+) auditions will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 3 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lodi. We ask that you email ahead of time, so we know whom to expect ([email protected]). At this audition we may do a couple group activities, but mostly script readings. We will be done by 4:30 PM, and invited callbacks will be Saturday, May 4th. There is no participation fee, but there will be other responsibilities asked of the adults who are cast.

All auditioning, please dress for movement and wear closed toes shoes. Bring water.

Rehearsals for the shows begin Monday, June 3rd at Jessie’s Grove Winery. The rehearsal schedule is fairly rigorous, and more information will be provided at the audition. Most children who audition will be cast, depending on scheduling conflicts and ability to follow direction.  Performance dates are July 10-20.

Why spend your summer with Changing Faces?

CFTC is a relatively small and close-knit theater group made up of mainly teachers and students. On the production crew, there are six professional teachers from the Lodi/Stockton area. There is a big emphasis on learning the theatrical process, as well as self-discipline and responsibility. Many students return year after year to spend their summers at the beautiful and serene Jessie’s Grove Winery, make life-long friendships, and develop an appreciation for the arts. The schedule can be rigorous, and the rehearsals can be challenging at times, as we pack a lot into the 6-week process.
