Community Fun for Whole Family at Fire Department Open House

Join us at Stockton Fire Station No. 5 on June 16

The Stockton Fire Department will host an Open House at Fire Station No. 5, 3499 Manthey Road, Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The kids are out of school, and this is a great family outing to have fun and learn about fire safety at the same time.

Visit the information table to learn how to identify and safely use Safe and Sane fireworks, which carry the State Fire Marshal seal and are the only fireworks permitted with in the city of Stockton.

Tour the station, talk with local fire fighters and other members of the Stockton Fire Department, enjoy free hot dogs and a jump house for kids, and see a Jaws of Life demonstration in action. Kids can learn more about smoke alarms and what to do in case of a fire at the Fire Safety Trailer. With a focus on family safety, representatives from the Stockton Police Department will be there offering free fingerprinting for children. Stop by community information exhibits for giveaways!

“Past open houses have been so well-received by the Stockton community that we hope even more people enjoy this Open House at Station No. 5,” said Stockton Fire Chief Erik Newman. “With the upcoming hot months, fire danger increases, so it is a good idea for everyone in the family to learn more about fire safety. Stop by, ask questions and enjoy this fun and educational event. Everyone is welcome.”
