"VALLEYDANCE 2008"
The New Dance Company, along with the San Joaquin Valley Dance
Alliance, is proud to present the 2nd annual VALLEYDANCE 2008:
Community in Motion at Weber’s Point on Saturday May 10, 2008, to
promote local dance. This event showcases local dancers and features
performances by New Dance Company, Nina Haft (a bay area director/
choreographer) and her dancers, Dance Alliance organizations, and
others. There will be information booths and food from around the
world. Admission is free for the performances at Weber’s Point on
Saturday May 10, 2008, from 11 AM until 8:00 PM.
The San Joaquin Valley Dance Alliance is an organization of dance
companies throughout the northern San Joaquin Valley. Last year, the
Dance Alliance created VALLEYDANCE 2007 to enrich the community by
bringing together people, whether performers or audience, who love
dance. VALLEYDANCE 2008 aims to continue that tradition and raise
awareness of the diversity of local dance companies and dancers,
with the additional goal of increasing support of local dance,
whether by increased financial aid or by increased attendance at
dance events throughout the community. For more information on
