30th Annual Senior
Awareness Day
Join in celebrating 30 years of honoring seniors at Senior
Awareness Day 2008. The 30th Annual Senior Awareness Day will be
held Thursday May 29, 2008 at Micke Grove Park from 8am to 1pm. This
event is sponsored by San Joaquin County Aging and Community
Services in partnership with other agencies and organizations in the
community.
The festivities include activities and relevant information
servicing seniors, mature adults and their families.
Gold Medals for Golden Years is the celebratory theme. Food
booths, entertainment, classic car show, senior art show, walk/run,
and many health and information booths make up the festivities.
Attendees can also enjoy the many features the park has to offer.
Most of the activities are free for all participants to enjoy.
