Tidewater Gallery Hosts " A Nite at the Races" for its summer fundraiser.

The Tidewater Art Center & Gallery, an artists' cooperative in downtown Stockton is planning something new for its summer charity fundraiser: "A Nite at the Races." The event, scheduled for Friday, July 30, features a fun and exciting evening of Burgers, Brats & Beer, Auction, Raffle and Horse Racing, all to support the programs of the Tidewater.

You're invited to the Tidewater Clubhouse at the Scottish Rite Center, 33 West Alpine. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with a BBQ Buffet provided by Stockton Host Lions at 6:15, followed by races beginning at 7:00.

Sip a complimentary Mint Julep upon your arrival. No-host wine, beer and water will be available. There will be entertainment during the BBQ buffet. Women's Derby hats and other Derby attire is encouraged.

All races are actual live horse races projected on a big screen and all betting is done with purchased "funny money" (script). At the end of the evening attendees use their winnings to choose valuable prizes offered in the raffle.
