Alpa's Bio

Alpa Agarwal is Group Product Manager for Microsoft's MSN.com. In her role, she works with engineering on new product development of social & community features.

Previously, she led communications for Microsoft BizSpark, a program to help software startups, and for Microsoft's Parallel Computing Initiative, working closely with partners such as Intel.

Prior to that, Alpa led a global team to identify market opportunities, where she regularly presented to Microsoft's senior leadership team and authored several influential papers for Bill Gates' Think Week, resulting in new acquisitions, technology investments and strategic corporate shifts.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Alpa founded MarketingCafe.com, an online community for marketers. She also worked at Sprint where she built a successful new product pipeline resulting in increased revenue and profits.

Alpa has taught in various Executive MBA programs, authored numerous articles and been quoted in international business journals. She has an MBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
