Venerable foster youth program presents its inaugural fundraiser

“Soul Full” Crab Feed Fundraiser

Event date: 1/31/2014 Export event

On Friday, January 31, Harrison Homes, Inc. will be hosting its first “Soul Full” Crab Feed Fundraiser from 6:30-11:00 pm at the Scottish Rite, 33 W. Alpine Avenue in Stockton.  The evening will feature a soul food-inspired menu created with love by renowned chef Kenneth Bunns.  Adding to the soulful mood will be the sounds of live music provided by Joshua Washington & Company.  The event will also feature a silent auction and a presentation by current and former foster youth from throughout northern California who will be honoring the legacy of Clarence Carter, Harrison Homes’ Executive Director.

Now in existence for over 25 years, Harrison Homes, Inc., is a federally-recognized not-for-profit organization which has been successfully providing at-risk teens from throughout California with a safe, stable home environment, education, and guidance.  As the agency continually strives to reach more youth, it is also seeking to expand its programming to reach commercially sexually exploited girls and is therefore in the process of creating a new residential group home specifically designed for them.  The proceeds earned from this fundraiser will go towards expanding their programming and facilities to accommodate working with even more youth.

For tickets, or further information, contact Antoinette Ardis at (209) 955-2277, ext. 105.  Tickets are $50 per person in advance, and $60 at the door.
