Mary Ann Poletti has a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Texas. She is known in the area as a portrait artist who received a “Master of Media” award from the Stockton Art League. Her two main media are oils and pastels. Her style is realism, but she likes to paint ‘ethereal fun pictures’ in acrylics.
She has studied under the tutelage of world portrait painters as Nelson Shanks, Richard Whitney, Michael del Priore and she earned a teaching certificate from John Howard Sanden. Her local mentors were Bob Gerbracht and Royden Martin.
Her portraits hang in many institutions and homes throughout the country including a portrait of Sister Pia at our local St. Joseph’s Hospital.
