Opportunities to Celebrate our Community

The celebration of our magnificent city is soon approaching and everyone in the community can get involved. The fourth annual Celebrate Stockton is Magnificent event is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th from noon to 3 PM at Victory Park. Participation in the event is free due to the generosity of local business sponsors. Nonprofit and community organizations are offered a free booth, local entertainers can strut their stuff on the two stages sponsored by Chase Chevrolet and Sherwood Mall, local artists can exhibit their talent in Art Alley sponsored by University Plaza Waterfront Hotel, local farmers and gardeners can showcase their bounty in Ag Alley, local authors and historians can exhibit their books in the History & Literature exhibit hosted by the Haggin Museum, and local pro and amateur sports teams can recruit players and raise funds in the Sports Alley. There is also room for local preschools, private schools, charter schools, trade schools, public schools, music, dance, and sports training groups to set up a free booth in the new Ed Alley sponsored by San Joaquin Delta College. Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, and 4H troops are welcome to set up a booth and participate in the children’s parade that kicks off the event. We have room for all the proud Stocktonians to participate in celebrating, and best of all its FREE, including entrance to the Haggin Museum!

We welcome for the first time the Food Truck Frenzy to feed our hungry guests. Local heroes will be nominated by nonprofit organizations and awarded medallions at the event. The Stockton is Magnificent, Inc. is a nonprofit organization formed to increase civic pride through education and the annual celebration event. Sponsorships slots are still available and volunteers are welcome. Come join thousands of proud Stocktonians in celebrating the positive aspects of our great city! For more information, to request a booth, to volunteer, and/or to nominate a hero, please contact Denise Jefferson at [email protected] or go to StocktonMagnificent.com.
