Yosemite Bark Houses opens November 4 at Stockton’s Haggin Museum, placing Jonas Kulikauskas’s painted transparent panels before Albert Bierstadt’s Yosemite landscapes. Stockton Symphony's Viva Italia! brings Italian opera, Joan Cortopassi's Honeymoon Waltz and Respighi's Pines of Rome to Atherton Auditorium on Sunday, November 8, at 2:30 p.m. Peter Jaffe leads the centennial-season program with soprano Bianca Orsi and baritone Roberto Perlas Gomez, connecting a celebrated musical tradition with a distinctly Stockton contribution.

Pacific Orchestras presents A New Birth of Freedom on November 4, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Faye Spanos Concert Hall in Stockton. Led by Kevin Sütterlin, the concert features Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, Margaret Bonds’ The Montgomery Variations and the California premiere of Lawren Brianna Ware’s The Moirai. Tickets are $10–$15, with free admission for eligible groups with valid ID.

A princess, a suspicious wizard and a dragon mystery are coming to Maya Angelou Branch Library on Thursday, November 5. Puppet Art Theater’s Tale of the Dragon’s Tail runs from 4 to 5 p.m., bringing an all-ages performance to the neighborhood branch at 2324 Pock Lane in Stockton.

Banner Island Ballpark will trade the usual game-day routine for specialty hot dogs, local vendors, live entertainment and animal adoption opportunities during the Stockton Ports’ inaugural Dog Days of Fall on Saturday, November 7.
