Pacific Orchestras presents A New Birth of Freedom on November 4, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Faye Spanos Concert Hall in Stockton. Led by Kevin Sütterlin, the concert features Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, Margaret Bonds’ The Montgomery Variations and the California premiere of Lawren Brianna Ware’s The Moirai. Tickets are $10–$15, with free admission for eligible groups with valid ID.

The recognition connects established, emerging and youth leadership, with $75 prepaid reservations for the Stockton Golf & Country Club gathering.
The November 7 City volunteer project begins at 8:30 a.m.; a release form is required for each person.

Stockton is seeking approximately 50 volunteers to plant trees at Williams Brotherhood Park on November 7. Work begins at 8:30 a.m. and continues until the trees are planted. Every volunteer must complete a release form before participating.
