Basketball season is almost back in Stockton, and the Stockton Kings are inviting the entire community to celebrate with a free afternoon of hoops, family fun and entertainment at Adventist Health Arena. The Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, will host their annual NBA G League Fan Fest, presented by Wilson, on Sunday, November 1, 2026, giving fans an early look at the team before the new season officially tips off.

Walmart celebrates the Thursday, Oct. 8 grand opening of its new high-tech fulfillment center on East Mariposa Road, a facility that has already created more than 1,000 local jobs and includes $10,000 in grants to Stockton nonprofits.

San Joaquin Delta College is inviting the Stockton community to come together Thursday, October 8, for a free celebration honoring the cultures, histories and contributions of Indigenous peoples. The college's Indigenous Peoples Day event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. at the President's Patio on Delta's Stockton campus, 5151 Pacific Avenue.

Stockton’s cultural calendar will shine a little brighter this October as the Diwali Festival & Show 2026 brings an afternoon of celebration, cultural performances and community connection to Stagg High School. Organized by the American Desi Society, the all-ages celebration is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Stagg High School Performing Arts Theatre, 1621 Brookside Road in Stockton. Admission is being offered free, along with free parking.
