University of the Pacific students will soon be returning to Stockton for a new academic year, and the Miracle Mile is preparing to welcome them back with a community-wide celebration. Tigers Prowlin' The Mile will take place Friday, August 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. along Stockton's Miracle Mile, bringing together Pacific students, faculty, staff, local businesses and residents for an evening designed to strengthen the connection between the university and the surrounding community.

K-pop music, colorful performances and circus entertainment are coming together for a unique family show in downtown Stockton this weekend. Kpop Circus Live Show will take the stage at the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium on Sunday, August 9, with performances scheduled for 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Classic cars, summertime food and old-fashioned rock and roll will come together along the Stockton waterfront when Hot Summer Nights Car Show & Burgers returns Saturday evening. The community event will take place Saturday, August 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Stockton Sailing Club, offering residents a relaxed summer evening filled with vintage automobiles, music, food and family fun.

Stockton families looking for a fun and educational way to spend Saturday can head downtown for Public Safety Day, a free community event bringing residents together with local first responders and public safety agencies. The event will take place Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Weber Point Events Center, 221 N. Center Street in downtown Stockton.

Wine, food, music and a summer evening in one of Stockton's picturesque neighborhoods will come together for a cause on Saturday, August 15. The annual Moonlight Sip & Stroll returns from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Classics along Heron Lakes Drive, bringing together wineries, restaurants and community supporters to benefit Hospice of San Joaquin.

There are only two more chances this summer to grab a lawn chair, pack a picnic and enjoy live music beneath the trees at Victory Park. Stockton’s popular Concerts in the Park series continues Wednesday, August 12, with the Ginger Molasses Band, followed by the season finale on Wednesday, August 19, featuring Marquis’ Motown Plus Band.
