City of Stockton Accepting Requests for Proposals Merlo Gym Management, Operation, and Maintenance.

Completed proposals are due by 2:00 p.m., April 23, 2015.

The City of Stockton Community Services Department is seeking proposals from non-profit organizations to develop, operate, and manage programs at the Merlo Gymnasium and Community Use Building, 2021 Anne Street, in Williams Brotherhood Park.  The Gymnasium is a joint use facility with Stockton Unified School District.

The Gymnasium is located adjacent to the Merlo Institute, operated by Stockton Unified School District, and Dorothy Jones Center, operated by Community Partnership for Families of San Joaquin.  Completed proposals are due by 2:00 p.m., April 23, 2015.  Those interested in submitting a proposal may schedule a walk-through of the facility by calling (209) 937-8298.

The City is seeking partners of vision that will develop, operate, and manage recreation programs that will support and strengthen the south Stockton community.  Of particular interest are youth and family programs that model respect, personal responsibility, and civic involvement.  Request for Proposal details are available at:  www.stocktongov.com/bidflash under the category of Administrative Services.  

Please submit the completed packet to City Clerk Department, 425 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, CA 95202.  All applications must be received by the posted deadline.
