Stockton City Councilmember Michael Blower is seeking re-election in District 3 on November 3, highlighting his experience in city government, investments in public safety, neighborhood improvements, and commitment to responsible management of taxpayer dollars.

A lifelong Stockton resident, local business owner, and longtime community volunteer, Blower is currently completing his first full term on the City Council. His campaign emphasizes practical solutions to the challenges facing Stockton families, neighborhoods, and businesses.

Strengthening Public Safety

Blower identifies public safety as his top priority. During his tenure, he supported establishing a new fire truck company at Fire Station 7, replacing aging police and fire equipment, and maintaining adequate public safety staffing. He also supported renewing Measure A to help retain police officers.

Improving Streets, Parks and Neighborhoods

Blower has advocated for road repairs, infrastructure improvements, and investments in neighborhood parks. Projects he has highlighted include new fencing at Swenson Park, improvements at Grupe Park, and an inclusive playground at Sandman Park.

Addressing Homelessness

Blower supports combining services, rehabilitation, and appropriate enforcement to address homelessness. His campaign points to the Zeiter Navigation Center and Pathways Modular Unit Community as examples of local efforts to provide assistance and pathways toward stable housing.

Protecting Taxpayers and Restoring Accountability

As a small business owner, Blower emphasizes fiscal responsibility, transparent decision-making, and oversight of public spending. He has also called for stronger ethical standards and reforms to address concerns raised about Stockton city government.

Supporting Local Jobs and Working Families

Blower supports retaining and attracting businesses, expanding employment opportunities, and strengthening Stockton's economic foundation. His campaign has highlighted support from Stockton Firefighters and the San Joaquin Building Trades.

Experience and Community Commitment

Blower's public service extends beyond the City Council. He previously served as president of the Rotary Club of Stockton and participated in community organizations focused on public safety and charitable service.

Michael is married to his wife, Tiffany, and has two daughters.
