The Superior Court of California, County of San Joaquin has announced temporary changes to Clerk’s Office public counter and phone hours at all courthouse locations as the Court prepares to deploy a new court-wide case management system.
The temporary schedule will affect clerk services Monday through Friday, excluding court holidays, beginning June 15 and continuing through October 30, 2026.
From June 15 through August 14, Clerk’s Office counters and phone services will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. From August 17 through September 4, hours will be reduced to 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Regular temporary hours of 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. will resume from September 7 through October 30.
The updated schedule applies to all San Joaquin County court locations, including the Stockton Courthouse, Lodi Branch Courthouse, Manteca Branch Courthouse, and the Juvenile Justice Center in French Camp.
While Clerk’s Office hours will be temporarily adjusted, courtrooms will remain open at all court locations. Cases already scheduled for hearing will proceed as planned. Courtrooms will also continue to handle arraignments, preliminary examinations, time-sensitive matters, and emergency documents as required by law.
Jury office hours will not change, and jurors should continue to report as directed on their summons.
Community members who need to file documents will still be able to use document drop boxes at all branch courts. Documents deposited before 4:00 p.m. will be accepted for same-day filing. A self-addressed stamped envelope must be included with all drop box transactions.
Drop boxes are available inside the main lobby of the Stockton Courthouse, inside the Manteca Branch and Juvenile Justice Center buildings, and outside Departments L1 and L2 at the Lodi Branch.
The Court also noted that restraining orders and emergency order requests will remain available for pick-up at 3:30 p.m. in both the Civil and Family Law Departments. eFiling services will remain available for Civil, Family Law, and Probate matters.
The new case management system is scheduled to begin deployment on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. As part of the transition, all case management systems and public portals used to access them will be unavailable during the weekend of August 22 and 23.
The Court is accepting written comments regarding the temporary changes through August 3, 2026. Comments may be submitted to Erica Ochoa, Assistant Court Executive Officer, by email at [email protected] or by mail at P.O. Box 201022, Stockton, CA 95201.
The Court thanked the public for its understanding and cooperation during the temporary operational adjustment.
