The Video Gamapalooza—A WORLD PREMIERE stage comedy!

Changing Faces Theater Company Celebrates 18th Anniversary

Event date: 7/10/2019 - 7/20/2019 Export event

CFTC, established in 2002, is staging its eighteenth summer production. This year, CFTC will be staging a WORLD PREMIERE comedy, The Video Gamapalooza, by world-renowned playwright Don Zolidis at beautiful Jessie’s Grove Winery on July 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th. With over 60 children, teens, and adults involved in the cast, crew, and staff, this show is sure to make audiences laugh.

As always, there will be a pre-show of younger performers aged 7-12. These little actors will be staging another world premiere, The Checkered Game of Life, written by Bruce Kern.  Before the pre-show entertainment begins around 7:00, attendees will be able to play carnival style games, all with a video game theme.  Delicious, fresh Mexican food will be available for purchase from Arteaga’s between 5:30 and 7:30. Concessions will be open, as well, and, of course, Jessie’s Grove wines will be available for purchase.

Then at 8 P.M., the main event—The Video Gamapalooza, written by Don Zolidis, will begin. See what happens when two people from different generations battle it out over who grew up with the better video games. Appearances by your favorite characters such as Pac-Man, Princess Peach, Link, and more! Don't worry, if you know nothing about video games, you'll still find this play hilarious and entertaining.  It’s a Saturday Night Live approach to history of video games—from Pong and Pac-Man to Fortnite and Minecraft—it’s all there!

This is a perfect show for families or just a date night. (Please no children under 4, however.) The whole evening should wrap up by about 10:00 P.M.

Things to bring:
