“These cards are especially during the holidays when so many of our troops are away from their families,” said Kathleen Weis, Chief Executive Officer of the Red Cross Capital Region “The Red Cross has a long history of supporting our military, and Holiday Mail for Heroes is a lovely way we are able to express our thanks and gratitude each year to those who sacrifice so much on our behalf.”

Red Cross volunteers and military representatives will be in front of the Dillard’s store at Weberstown Mall from 11:30am – 2:00pm, during which time shoppers are invited to come by to create and sign cards for the troops. The cards will then be sent to military installations, veteran’s hospitals, and military groups around the world.
