Catfish Plant at Oak Grove Regional Park

Oak Grove Regional Park has been planted with 500 lbs. of Catfish, San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation has announced. Kids age 15 years and younger fish for free at Oak Grove’s ten-acre lake, a $5 fishing permit fee and valid CA. fishing license are required for those sixteen (16) years of age or over. A vehicle-parking fee will also apply, as do all State Fish and Game laws.

Li is in contention with 590 of her peers for the honor and was a member I-AAA Athletics Directors Association Scholar-Athlete Team and was awarded the Association's Postgraduate Scholarship for her work as a student-athlete at Pacific.

Incoming Tiger earns ABCA Player of the Year Award

Charles Middleton, who will join the Tigers this fall, was named as the American Baseball Coaches Association Position Player of the Year in the Pacific Association Division. Middleton has spent his last two seasons at Sierra College.

Annual Mosquitofish Giveaway

San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District (District) will be distributing mosquitofish free to residents of all cities and surrounding rural areas within San Joaquin County. “Each resident will receive up to 15 fish depending on the size of the area where fish will be placed. The District will provide a fish carry container, informational brochures, sample repellent and a small bag of fish food,” said Aaron Devencenzi, Public Information Officer with the District.
