Business Council of San Joaquin appoints Betty Wilson, Executive Director

The Business Council of San Joaquin County announced today that they have appointed Betty Wilson as Executive Director. Wilson has served in the financial industry for more than fifteen years and most recently worked in government relations.

“I am honored to have been chosen as the new Executive Director of the Business Council,” stated Wilson. “We are in challenging times with great opportunities and I am looking forward to being part of a team that is concerned about our community’s health and how business can partner in its growth.”

Founded in 1987, The Business Council of San Joaquin County is an organization dedicated to taking responsibility for the wellbeing of our community, through implementation of local programs and initiatives. Members, comprised of business, nonprofit and government officials, are civically engaged and have chosen to take a proactive progressive approach to addressing community challenges.

“The Business Council has been a valued participant in numerous initiatives that have improved our community’s ability to provide a better quality of life. “I am looking forward to harnessing the opportunities we have as a community – to expand and grow the Council’s role as a public partner,” states Wilson.
