On Monday, October 21, 2013, the Cesar Chavez Central Library will host an important community dialogue entitled Generation Change. Generation Change is a youth-driven global network dedicated to fostering the next generation of innovators and leaders in Muslim communities around the world. Speaking about Generation Change will be Shahed Amanullah, Senior Advisor for Technology at the US Department of State who works on digital diplomacy and innovative projects for Secretary of State John Kerry. Mr. Amanullah will be joined by Jerry Hildebrand, Director of the Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship at the University of the Pacific.

The program will begin at 6 pm with a presentation by Mr. Amanullah. Following that will be a question and answer period between Mr. Amanulla and Mr. Hildebrand. The evening will conclude with a 45-minute workshop called “The 4 Apps We Need to Install in Our Children: Storytelling, Inspiration, Networking, Efficiency.”

This program is part of the Live from Cesar Chavez! series sponsored by the Library & Literacy  Foundation for San Joaquin County and is made possible through a grant from the United States Institute of Peace.
