The Stockton Auto Mall is hosting the 1st Annual First Responders Recognition Event & Safety Fair on Saturday, Sept 10th from 12 noon – 4 pm. The public is invited to this free event to honor, celebrate and support our community’s first responders.
Participating organizations include:
- Stockton Police Department with McGruff the Crime Dog, K9 demos, fingerprint kits for kids, and their recruitment team.
- San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department with K9 demos, and their recruitment team.
- Stockton Fire Department with fire trucks and fire prevention tips.
- Stockton Unified School District Police Department with narcotics K9 demos.
- San Joaquin Delta College District Police with sobriety tests wearing drunk goggles.
- University of the Pacific Campus Police Department with public safety tips.
- City of Stockton Violence Prevention Department with their low-rider police vehicle.
- California Highway Patrol with their recruitment team.
- American Medical Response paramedics with hands-only CPR demos on mannequins.
- Hot New Country The Bull 105.9 radio station with a live remote broadcast.
- Food trucks Grubb City (Burgers & Sandwiches) & Agua Dulce (Mexican Cuisine) will have food available for purchase.
“These first responders lay their lives on the line for the citizens of San Joaquin County each time they put on their uniforms. We want to do something tangible to show them that we appreciate their efforts, and invite the public to come out, shake their hands and express their gratitude” said Steve Kubitz, General Manager/Partner of Big Valley Ford Lincoln. “The beautiful Stockton Auto Mall is a perfect place to showcase the First Responders’ vehicles, talents and personnel.
