Bringing tutoring to low-income students in our Stockton community
The Center for Community Involvement (CCI) is hosting the Strawberry Fundraiser for Education. Buy a jar of delicious, homemade strawberry jam, or a Mother’s Day Basket that includes local goods, a jar of jam and homemade scone mix.
Art Expressions of San Joaquin will be featuring three photographers in May and June at the County Administration Building 44 N. San Joaquin Street from May 7 through July 2, 2018. Featured artists will be Arturo Vera who has spent nearly 40 years mastering the art of photography, joining Mr. Vera will be George Adair a past photography teacher at Franklin High School who has been photographing for 50+ years.
Restored car to be donated at Wednesday event
A family in need will receive the keys Wednesday to a smashed-up car that has been restored by auto body students at San Joaquin Delta College.

We are proud to announce the inaugural Enov8 Conference at the University of the Pacific. In a joint partnership with the Admission’s Office and Enov8 Conference, the University will host 400 high school students from Stockton, Lodi, Modesto, and Tracy on its campus to learn about career opportunities in technology, engineering, science, multimedia and agriculture from professionals.

This exhibit features the artworks Delta College students. The annual juried exhibition is open to students of all disciplines, campus wide. The visual arts faculty juries the exhibition, and issues awards based on technical proficiency, creativity, and the commitment to growth within the visual arts.

As part of the 30th Annual Earth Day Festival, Stockton will celebrate its second March for Science on Sunday morning, April 22 at Victory Park. The March for Science will last one hour, beginning at 10 a.m. from the Earth Day Festival stage on the west side of park. Congressman Jerry McNerney will join us for the welcome. High school science teacher Brandon Piasecki will do an encore performance of his “Periodical Table Rap” and the drum line from Cesar Chavez High School will be featured.
We invite YOU to share your story. The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library is proud to be part of California Listens, a statewide Digital Storytelling project sponsored by the California State Library. We hope to collect a tapestry of stories of what it means to be a Californian. These video stories will become part of the California State Library’s collection and used by our Library.
Stockton Sailing Club
The Stockton Sailing Club continues 85 years of History and Tradition with its annual Opening Day Services on Saturday April 28. The all-day event includes a craft show, nautical swap meet, and plenty of free boat rides (subject to supporting wind). Anyone can go for a boat ride starting at 1 pm.
