Caltrans will present a major update on the long-running Interstate 5 Stockton Channel Viaduct Project to the Stockton City Council’s Community Improvement and Crime Prevention Committee on Wednesday, November 19, at 3:30 p.m. The briefing is expected to give residents and city leaders the clearest look yet at how the multi-year bridge replacement project is progressing and what comes next.
On Monday, November 3, members of the Stockton City Council rolled up their sleeves alongside local elected officials to volunteer at the Emergency Food Bank on Scotts Avenue. From 11 a.m. to noon, city leaders helped sort, pack, and distribute food to families in need — a visible show of solidarity during a time of financial strain for many households affected by delays in federal CalFresh and EBT benefits.
