The Board of Directors of the Gospel Center Rescue Mission has announced the appointment of David Midura as President/CEO, filling the position left by Wayne R. Richardson who has led the Mission for the past six years.

This May, the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health for all and local sponsor Collins Electrical Company, Inc. are working together to support the mental well-being of craftworkers through the Hard Hats with Heart initiative.

The San Joaquin Delta College Board of Trustees has entered into contract discussions with Dr. Lisa Aguilera Lawrenson to become Delta’s 12th superintendent/president. 

Visit Stockton and University of the Pacific have partnered to host some of the top NCAA Division I golfers in the country. Returning to the Reserve at Spanos Park, the upcoming NCAA Division I Men’s Golf West Regional, begins Monday, May 16 and concludes Wednesday, May 18. The competition is one of six NCAA regional qualifying events.

A community and family tradition returns with the opening of Pixie Woods for the 2022 season. The 68th Birthday Celebration of the park will take place Saturday, May 7, 2022. Park hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
