Asparagus Festival Preparation City Building Access and Street Closures

The Stockton Asparagus Festival will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 26 through April 28, 2013.  Festival set-up will begin this weekend.

City Hall and surrounding City of Stockton office buildings are located inside the Asparagus Festival footprint.  Parking and access to buildings within the Festival area will be limited. City offices will be closed Friday, April 19, 2013, and Friday, April 26, 2013, for furlough.

Beginning Sunday, April 21, 2013, Center Street between Oak Street and Weber Avenue will be closed to all vehicles to accommodate set-up of the event and will remain closed until Festival fencing removal is complete on Monday, April 29, 2013.  Drivers should anticipate detours and changes to traffic patterns.

Streets within the Asparagus Festival footprint will be blocked to through traffic, and parking during the Festival, April 26 through April 28, will be limited to designated areas.

Monthly passes and card access for City operated parking lots are not valid during Asparagus Festival weekend, April 27 and April 28.

Many streets in the downtown area will be posted with no parking signs. Vehicles parked, stopped, or left standing in posted areas will be cited and towed at the owner's expense.

Weber Point will remain closed for maintenance during the week following the festival. For additional information about the Asparagus Festival events and activities, please visit www.asparagusfest.com.
