Downtown Stockton business owners looking to build their skills or make local connections have a reimbursement program worth checking.
The Downtown Stockton Alliance’s Entrepreneur Support Program lists reimbursements of up to $1,000 for either a local chamber membership or a business development workshop.
Under the published rules:
-
Businesses must be inside the Downtown Stockton Property and Business Improvement District boundary.
-
Each business can receive reimbursement for one chamber membership or one qualifying workshop.
-
Workshops must relate directly to business development.
-
Eligible expenses must have been incurred on or after January 1, 2024.
Businesses pay the expense first, then provide an invoice and proof of payment when requesting reimbursement.
Check availability before spending. The website says assistance is first come, first served while funding lasts, but its reopening notice is dated October 1, 2024. Remaining funds have not been independently confirmed.
Owners can call 209-464-5246 to check funding and address eligibility. The official program page and application provide the requirements. No fixed closing date is listed.
