A beautiful and historic downtown, great eateries, classic cars; it’s Lodi, CA! And, late spring is a wonderful time to visit! The weather is at its finest, grape vines are growing rapidly, and good food and classic cars await your visit!
Lodi offers a host of good choices for food. For breakfast, chose the iconic Richmaid Restaurant on Cherokee, serving Lodians since 1938! For lunch, try Phillips Farms café and Michael David Winery on Highway 12 just west of Lodi. For brunch or dinner, chose Wine and Roses and their stately outdoor patio, corner of Lower Sacramento and Turner Road. Lodi Beer on School Street offers a varied selection of award-winning beers and always tasty food for lunch or dinner in a classic brew-pub setting.
Classic cars are open for viewing at the Vintage Reserve Garage on Cherokee, right across the street from Richmaid! This new “Gasoline Alley-style garage” (in beautifully remodeled space, formerly a Salvation Army location) shows off about 50 antique, classic or muscle cars from the 1920s to the 1980s; these stunning specimens like the 1939 Ford convertible pictured are timeless treasures (best of all, it’s free).
Return to downtown Lodi on Pine Street and drive under the classic Lodi Arch, welcoming visitors since the early 1900s! Lodi’s downtown offers a wealth of shops and service options, a multi-screen Cineplex, and, come Thursday evenings later in the season, a robust Farmer’s Market!
