The Stockton Ports are once again partnering with Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center for the tenth consecutive year for the Ports’ annual Pink Night, with all proceeds benefiting St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Breast Health Services.
The Ports will have a pink player jersey auction and memorabilia raffle during the game on Saturday, in addition to pink-themed hat sales and a pink baseball wall leading up to the weekend. The night will also include a pre-game ice cream social for breast cancer survivors and their families, a pre-game survivor parade, and the chance for them to take the field with players during the National Anthem. Fans are able to partake in the ice cream social, and with a $3 donation will receive a sundae and the opportunity to meet members of the Stockton Ports team. To close out the evening, fans will be able to enjoy a postgame fireworks show, courtesy of St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
Since its inaugural year in 2007, the Ports are pleased to have donated over $52,000 to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Breast Health Services, including a $4,300 donation in 2015.
“We look forward to teaming up with St. Josephs’ Medical Center again in 2016 for the tenth annual fundraising night at the ballpark,” said Ports Community and Public Relations Manager Kellie Ryan. “Last year we were excited to hit the milestone of $50,000 donated since 2007, and with the help of our generous fans and their continued support, we hope to grow the donation even further in 2016.”
Gates will open at 5:30pm on Friday for survivors and fans attending the ice cream social. If you would like to be part of this event and help support St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Breast Health Services, please call the Ports front office at 209-644-1900.
