San Joaquin Superior Court warns of telemarketing scam

San Joaquin Superior Court has recently become aware of telephone scams targeting members of the public.

The scammers call, claiming to be a law enforcement official and say that you have a warrant out for your arrest due to failing to appear for jury service. They request money from you to have the warrant cleared and state that if you do not pay you will be arrested. Law enforcement and Court employees will NEVER call to ask you for money or to provide financial or personal information.

Please do not provide this type of information to anyone. If you receive a telephone call similar to scenario described above, please hang up the phone and call your local police department.
