Zampa is trailed by driver No. 36 Parker Malone of Redlands. Malone, who carries sponsorship from UPM Engineering, finished third at this event last season after fighting a tight condition.

In the Pro Late Models, Jace Hale of Manteca leads by 26 points to Bakersfield driver Taylor Mayhew after the race at Kern County Raceway. Both earned solid finishes on Saturday May 31.

The 14-year-old Hale finished fifth and seventh in the two 75 lap main events headlined by Kevin and Keelan Harvick. As for Mayhew, the recorded results of eighth and tenth overall.

Moving to MMI Legend Legends Tour West, Mayhew is locked in a tight battle with Tracy native Brenden Ruzbarsky. Both drivers have earned three wins, but Ruzbarsky leads the points.

He holds an 18-point advantage to Mayhew following the race at Kern County. Ruzbarsky has been successful to start 2025, finishing outside of the top ten in only one of his 13 Legend races.

As for the Nor Cal Mini Stocks, Stockton’s own Ethan Rumsey is the defending winner. Rumsey snuck past Manteca driver Joe Flowers on the final lap after engine issues slowed Flowers down.

Rumsey closed the gap to points leader and fellow Stockton native Lelani Sprenkel in the points. Sprenkel now leads by seven points over Rumsey and Natalie Harper, another Stockton driver.

Fair Oaks native Tony Hunt is the most recent NCMA Sprint Car event victor. The third generation racer and stunt driver is second in USAC Championships behind only AJ Foyt.

Hunt took home the trophy by 1.605 seconds in the 30-lap main event, beating Mauro Simone of Fresno and Antioch’s Dan Gonderman. After two races this season, Hunt leads the points by 11.
