Stockton families looking for a fun and educational way to spend Saturday can head downtown for Public Safety Day, a free community event bringing residents together with local first responders and public safety agencies.
The event will take place Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Weber Point Events Center, 221 N. Center Street in downtown Stockton.
Hosted by the Stockton Police Department and community partners, Public Safety Day is designed to give families an opportunity to meet the people who work every day to keep Stockton safe while enjoying an afternoon filled with activities, entertainment and friendly competition.
Visitors can expect a variety of family activities, including a bike rodeo, volleyball tournament, tug-of-war, face painting, a gaming tournament and live music.
