Take Advantage of GREAT DEALS at Delta College’s Spring 2013 Nearly New Sale!

Get your hands on some amazing deals on apparel, shoes, accessories, home décor and more!

The Fashion Program at San Joaquin Delta College is holding its hugely popular Nearly New Sale on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 10am to 4pm in Danner Hall on Delta College campus. This is one of the most highly anticipated events that the Fashion Program holds each year.

In its ninth year, the students in the Fashion Program have organized this incredibly successful sale event. Selling new and nearly new apparels, shoes, jewelries, handbags, accessories and home décors at rock-bottom prices! The merchandises were all donated from local and regional retailers and manufacturers, as well as personal friends of the program.

The Nearly New Sale has become a favorite among regular customers who have scouted prestigious brands, which in past sales have included True Religion Jeans for under $10, a Louis Vuitton Handbag for $200, a rare mink hand bag for $150, shoes from Nine West and Franco Sarto for under $10, and among other amazing deals. Most of the inventories were donated from local retailers and manufacturers who sent the students their close-out goods. These goods are then sold to customers for as low as $1.

The sales have been supported by generous donations of new inventory from local and regional retailers, manufacturers and designers.  “We are so fortunate to have the support we do from our own fashion industry, both locally and nationally. We also have an incredibly supportive group of industry leaders who have donated to this event and we could not have done it without them.” said Leslie Asfour, the Director of the Fashion Program and visionary for the program.

Local support has been strong from retailers like Flair Boutique, Gary Long’s Jewelers, Theodora, Stage Two, and C.R. Porter in Lincoln Center of Stockton; Bella’s Bridal and With Garden Flair on Stockton’s Miracle Mile; Prêt, City Girl, and Fashion Safari in Lodi; as well as San Francisco-based manufacturers like The Sak, Weston Wear, TSD, Flax Designs, and Cut Loose. High-end retailers like Gump’s of San Francisco and Pottery World in Granite Bay have also donated huge amounts of merchandise to the sale!

The Nearly New Sale has become so popular that people come from as far away as Livermore and Sacramento to take advantage of the jaw-dropping deals. In fact, people lined up in advance for hours to get in! Alan Sanchez from Good Day Sacramento is a regular reporter of the sale, and other local media reporters had talked about the event.

Featured sections of the sale include designer handbags, new and vintage jewelries and other authentic accessories. Most of the inventories for sale are brand new with retail tags still attached, and some merchandise is nearly new. Items include apparels and accessories for men, women and children, and home decors and accessories. All inventories are sold for a fraction of the price, at near garage sale prices. The inventory is seasonal, so shoppers will find spring and summer apparels and accessories, décors for home and garden, as well as many unique items from estate collections and retailers.

All of the proceeds from the sale directly benefits the students in the Fashion Program and will help fund the upcoming student Designers Collection Fashion Show on May 10, 2013. Given the amount of cuts facing the college, programs like the Fashion Program, students volunteer overtime to make such event possible. The students that organize this event are part of the Fashion Event Production class. They are assigned to find the inventory, priced and display the merchandise, as well as sell and market the event.

This is a sale not to be missed! Mark your calendar for Friday, April 5th! With tax day looming, this is a great way to stretch your dollars and find some amazing deals!
