The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders and the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, has announced a new partnership with the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel to be the Thunder’s “Home Away From Home” for the upcoming 2013-14 season.
University Plaza Hotel will have exclusive rights to show all 36 regular season away games for the Stockton Thunder, broadcast on AmericaONE as well as any postseason road games should the Thunder reach the playoffs.
Fans will be able to view the games on University Plaza Hotel’s nine TVs conveniently set up around the Delta Bistro and Lounge area.
Additionally, the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel will also be the official pre-game party place for Stockton fans before all Thunder home games. Thunder fans can take advantage of Thunder drink specials as well as the pre-game buffet, which starts two hours before game time.
After home games, fans can make their way over to the hotel for an autograph session with select Thunder players.
During the regular season, University Lofts will also offer a “college night” promotion. Stay tuned for additional details later in the season.
The first chance for Thunder fans to get autographs from players will come following Saturday’s home opener against the Colorado Eagles. Doors open to fans at 6:30 with the puck dropping at 7:30.
