The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others will bring the sounds of blockbuster films to Downtown Stockton on December 17

Stockton movie fans, music lovers, and families will have a chance to experience some of the most powerful film music ever written when The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others comes to the Bob Hope Theatre on Thursday, December 17, 2026.

The concert promises an immersive evening filled with music from some of the biggest films of the past several decades, including James Bond, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Top Gun, Dune and more. For anyone who has ever felt chills during a dramatic movie scene, this show is designed to bring that same cinematic excitement to the stage.

Performed by the Hollywood Film Orchestra, the production will combine live symphonic music with an audiovisual experience featuring light installations, laser projections, and selected film clips. The evening will also include star soloists from the original Broadway production performing excerpts from The Lion King, one of Hans Zimmer’s most beloved and recognizable works.

Hans Zimmer’s music has helped shape the emotional sound of modern cinema. His scores are known for their sweeping power, intense rhythms, and unforgettable themes that have become part of the moviegoing experience for audiences around the world. From the heroic energy of superhero films to the emotional depth of animated classics and science fiction epics, Zimmer’s music has a way of making movie moments feel larger than life.

Adding to the excitement, the concert series will feature a special guest presenter connected to the films. Guests who purchase tickets will also have the opportunity for a free photo with the presenter.

The concert will take place inside the historic Bob Hope Theatre, one of Stockton’s most treasured entertainment landmarks. Located in the heart of Downtown Stockton, the beautifully restored theatre first opened in 1930 and continues to host concerts, comedy shows, Broadway productions, film screenings, and community events. Its classic architecture and intimate setting make it a fitting home for a night celebrating the music of cinema.

Tickets start at $39.75 and go on sale Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Adventist Health Arena Box Office or online through Ticketmaster.
