A beloved celebration of Italian culture is returning to the region this summer, and it promises a full day of flavor, music, tradition, and family fun.

Festa Italiana will take place on Sunday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds, bringing the community together for a lively event packed with entertainment, activities, and some of the area’s favorite Italian food.

Organizers say the event is designed to immerse guests in the spirit of Italy, with something to enjoy around every corner. This year’s festival will feature renowned Italian tenor Pasquale Esposito as the headliner on the Morada Produce Main Stage, along with performances by Nino, d’Italiano and The Trucco Band. In the Pavilion, guests can enjoy the Balliamo! Italian Folk Dancers while sampling wine, while the Benevenuti Stage will welcome attendees with local entertainment, including the Stockton Garage Band.

Families with children will find plenty to keep little ones smiling in the Bambini Zone, where entertainment includes Sparkles and Ravioli the clowns, Rhymosaurs, and the Bambini Dancers, who will even teach Italian dance lessons. Festivalgoers can also expect to spot the Funambulus Italian Stilt Walkers roaming the grounds and adding even more fun to the day.

Of course, no Italian celebration would be complete without incredible food.

Festa Italiana will showcase delicious dishes from local Italian chefs and restaurants, with traditional favorites ranging from ravioli to gelato. Beyond the food, the event will also feature a Mercato Marketplace, cooking demonstrations, Italian art and history displays, bocce ball, a salami toss, an automobili show, wine tasting, olive oil tastings, and more. The crowd-favorite “Boss of the Sauce” contest is also making a return.

With its mix of food, music, games, and culture, Festa Italiana is shaping up to be a memorable outing for families, friends, and anyone who enjoys community events with a festive atmosphere. It is a chance to experience old-world traditions, support local vendors and performers, and enjoy a summer day filled with energy and flavor.

Tickets are $15 at the door, while children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult. Parking is free. Tickets are also available at Gian’s Deli in Stockton, SASS!
