The November 7 Dog Days of Fall festival pairs inventive ballpark food with local vendors, animal rescues and activities for all ages.

A trip to the ballpark usually comes with a familiar decision: what to eat before the next inning. This November, the food itself gets top billing, and families will have reasons to linger beyond the concession stand.

The Stockton Ports will host their inaugural Dog Days of Fall at Banner Island Ballpark on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. The afternoon brings specialty hot dogs, music, vendors and family entertainment into a space most residents associate with baseball.

A Ballpark Beyond Baseball Season

In the Ports’ September 28 announcement, General Manager Jordan Feneck described the festival as a way to welcome people back during the offseason. That gives the gathering a local significance beyond its menu: it offers another use for a familiar downtown venue when the team is not playing.

For residents who rarely attend a game, a food festival creates a different entry point. Visitors can explore the concourse and spend an afternoon together without needing to follow a lineup or understand a box score.

A Familiar Food Gets Creative

The announced menu ranges from the Mac Attack Dog, with macaroni and cheese, Hot Cheeto dust and jalapeño ranch, to a Pineapple Express Dog with pineapple salsa and teriyaki drizzle. A peanut butter and jelly version adds bacon, while a Polish-style option pairs sausage with sauerkraut, onions and mustard.

There are traditional concessions, too. Families with different tastes can decide how adventurous to be, though the Ports caution that menu offerings and availability may change.

Rescue Groups Join the Afternoon

The current vendor roster includes Pets & Pals Animal Shelter and Hungry Tailz Rescue, with opportunities to meet adoptable animals. Herald Family Farm Experience is also listed, alongside face painting, a photo booth and merchants selling items such as pet accessories.

That mix makes room for several kinds of community connection. Shopping at a booth introduces visitors to a small business; meeting a rescue group offers a chance to ask about caring for an animal and the responsibilities that come with adoption. Families considering a pet can use that conversation as a starting point rather than treating the decision as an impulse purchase.

Plan for More Than Admission

The Ports welcome guests’ dogs and require a waiver at entry. Owners are asked to control and clean up after their pets. The ballpark is cashless, and outside food and drinks are prohibited.

Admission does not cover meals. Visitors planning a family outing should budget separately for concessions and parking, and check the organizer’s page for weather updates or changes before leaving home.
