Stockton’s tastiest spring tradition is back.

The 2026 San Joaquin Asparagus Festival returns to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26, bringing three full days of food, live entertainment, carnival fun, local vendors, and family-friendly attractions to one of the region’s most popular annual celebrations.

Known as the largest asparagus festival in the western United States, the event celebrates San Joaquin County’s agricultural roots with a playful mix of classic fair fun and creative asparagus-inspired dishes.

At the heart of the festival is Asparagus Alley, where visitors can enjoy the famous deep-fried asparagus that has become a must-try festival favorite. Adventurous food lovers can also look for unique menu items like asparagus ice cream, asparagus lumpia, asparagus burritos, asparagus pasta, and even asparagus churros.

Beyond the food, the festival will feature live music and main-stage entertainment throughout the weekend. Families can enjoy a Kids Zone with carnival rides and games, monster truck rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, trackless train rides, local shopping, chef demonstrations, a community stage, and the Miss San Joaquin Asparagus Festival Scholarship Pageant.

Festival hours are:

Friday, April 24: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 25: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 26: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Single-day admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 6–17, seniors 65 and older, and military members with ID. Children 5 and under are free. Discount tickets will also be available at participating Save Mart and Lucky supermarkets, with admission priced at $12 for adults and $8 for children, seniors, and military members. Unlimited carnival ride wristbands will be available for $25.

Admission includes all main-stage entertainment.

The festival also continues its tradition of giving back. Since 2015, organizers have contributed more than $750,000 to local nonprofits and the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds. In past years, more than 12 tons of California-grown asparagus have been served during the event.

The San Joaquin County Fairgrounds are located at 1658 S. Airport Way in Stockton.
