Stockton is getting an early dose of holiday magic this year.

NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet is returning to the Bob Hope Theatre on Thursday, November 12, and this time Stockton has the honor of serving as the launch city for the production’s North American tour. That means one of the biggest and most dazzling holiday shows in the country will begin its seasonal run right here in downtown Stockton.

Billed as the largest Nutcracker production in North America, the show promises a full-scale holiday spectacle with an international cast, elaborate costumes, acrobatics, oversized puppets, and all the familiar magic of Tchaikovsky’s timeless score. In other words, this is not your average sugar-plum outing. It is a grand, glittering, larger-than-life Christmas experience designed to wow audiences of all ages.

Presented by Talmi Entertainment, the production is now in its 34th annual tour and continues to draw crowds in more than 80 cities each year. For Stockton families, date-night planners, and anyone who leans fully into the holiday season, this performance offers the chance to kick off Christmas festivities with a little extra sparkle.

The setting only adds to the charm. The Bob Hope Theatre, one of downtown Stockton’s architectural treasures, brings its own sense of wonder to the evening. With its historic beauty and intimate atmosphere, it is the kind of venue that makes a big show feel even more magical.

Tickets start at $35 and go on sale Wednesday, April 1 at 10 a.m. They can be purchased at the Adventist Health Arena Box Office or online through Ticketmaster. For anyone hoping to make this part of their family’s holiday tradition, getting seats early might be the smartest move of the season.

One thing is already clear: when the curtain rises in Stockton this November, Christmas will arrive with a dramatic flourish.
