TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Interstate 5 from El Dorado Street to March Lane

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will restrict lanes and ramps on Interstate 5 (I-5) from El Dorado Street to March Lane for k-rail installation and construction work. No two consecutive ramps will close at the same time. Work will occur as follows:
  • The southbound on-ramp on I-5 from El Dorado Street will close Tuesday, January 21, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.;

  • The northbound and southbound connector ramps from I-5 to State Route 4 (SR-4)/Crosstown Freeway will close beginning Monday, January 20, 2014, through Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.;

  • The northbound and southbound on and off-ramps on I-5 from SR-4/Charter Way to March Lane will alternately close beginning Monday, January 20, 2014, through Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.;

  • The left and right shoulders, median, auxiliary, #1 (left), #2 (middle) and #3 (right) lanes on southbound I-5 from SR-4/Charter Way to Country Club Boulevard will alternately close beginning Monday, January 20, 2014, through Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
