Tigers Win At Home Against Youngstown State

The Pacific women's tennis team earned a 5-2 decision over Youngstown State on Sunday, March 9. The Tigers improved to 5-5 overall, while the Penguins dropped to 5-6.

"I'm proud of the way our team stepped up today," said Pacific Head Coach Charlotte Scatliffe. "The Tigers showed their resilience and were able to cap off a long weekend with a win before heading to Hawaii. Both Hana and Iveta won their singles and doubles matches today and freshman Francis Dean has really stepped it up winning her fourth singles match in a row. We will be looking to go 2-0 in Hawaii to gain some confidence and experience before getting into the thick of our conference."

Hana Ritterova and Iveta Masarova each won at both singles and doubles today.

Pacific is next in action with a match against Grand Canyon in Hawai'i on Wednesday, March 12.
